These terms govern your use of DevOpsPrep and explain our privacy and billing practices.

Terms of Service

About the service

DevOpsPrep is an interview preparation platform that helps DevOps engineers practice structured questions, track progress, and build confidence. The service is operated by Dan Machlenkin and is based in Israel.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction or have permission from a legal guardian to use the service. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and any activity performed under it. Sharing or reselling access is not permitted.

Acceptable use

You agree to use DevOpsPrep lawfully and respectfully. You may not interfere with the platform, attempt to bypass access controls, scrape content at scale, or use the service to distribute malware or unlawful material.

Intellectual property

All content, branding, and software on DevOpsPrep are owned by or licensed to DevOpsPrep. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to access the service for personal learning. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Disclaimers

DevOpsPrep provides educational practice tools. We do not guarantee job placement, interview success, or any specific outcomes. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DevOpsPrep and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the platform.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that any disputes will be handled in the competent courts of Israel.

Privacy Policy

Data we collect

We collect account details (such as name, email, and profile data), authentication data required to sign you in, and usage analytics like pages viewed, topics practiced, and feature interactions. We also use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and remember preferences.

How we use data

We use personal data to operate DevOpsPrep, provide customer support, personalize learning flows, secure the platform, and improve performance. We may also use aggregate analytics to understand usage trends.

Third-party providers

We rely on trusted providers for core functions such as authentication, analytics, hosting, and payments. This includes Clerk for authentication and Paddle for payment processing as Merchant of Record. These providers may process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.

Security and retention

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls and secure infrastructure practices. We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can request these actions by contacting us at support@devopsprep.com.

Refund & Billing Policy

Merchant of Record

Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all purchases and handles payment processing, taxes where applicable, and chargebacks.

Subscriptions and renewals

Monthly subscriptions renew automatically every 30 days unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your account or via Paddle's customer portal.

One-time access plan

The 30-day one-time access plan expires exactly 30 days after purchase and does not renew automatically.

Refunds

DevOpsPrep does not provide refunds under any circumstances except where required by law. If a refund is legally required, it will be issued through Paddle to the original payment method.
